Wakefield Grammar School Foundation is a collection of schools in the north of England that offer single sex education to boys and girls aged 4-18 years old. We were approached by the marketing team to look at creating 2 films that would tell the Queen Elizabeth Grammar and Wakefield Girls High School’s Sixth Form story and give audiences a taste of what makes up life at WGSF Sixth Form.
Focussing on individual students we wanted to tell real accounts and reflections of what students experience in Sixth Form. We produced a comprehensive yet flexible treatment that would guide the content and give us the pathway to get the material for the story we wished to create. This allowed for variation of student deliveries and personality to be introduced.
Production for these films began early 2014 to ensure we were able to capture the material required to tell our Sixth Form stories for both the girl’s and boy’s sixth form.

We explored a number of graphic treatments that represented student pathways. Ultimately we returned to a very simple and clean approach that much more closely reflected the brand identity of the foundation.
