What was required

Portwest’s KX3 collection needed a campaign that felt less like traditional workwear and more like modern activewear with a work-ready edge. The range was built around flexibility, comfort, durability and easy movement — clothing designed to transition from work to home, and from on-duty to off-duty, without feeling out of place.

What we did

For the shoot, we created a studio-led campaign world that pushed KX3 into a more stylised, street-inspired space. Rather than placing the clothing in a standard work environment, the visuals leaned into movement, attitude and set-built energy — giving the range a younger, more contemporary feel while still keeping the product clear.

Set build

The KX3 shoot was built around a custom modular set, using corrugated metal walls, routered MDF panels, columns and angled structures inspired by Portwest logo’s 54.5° peak. This gave the campaign its own industrial, street-led visual world rather than relying on a standard studio backdrop.

Photography and film,
working together

The KX3 shoot was planned to work across both photography and motion, making the most of the custom-built studio set rather than treating stills and video as separate exercises. With multiple set-ups, live image review and video clips captured alongside the stills, Portwest came away with a consistent bank of campaign assets that all shared the same lighting, styling and visual language.

Hi-Vis

We later extended the campaign with a dedicated KX3 High Visibility shoot, rebuilding one of the original sets and matching the lighting exactly so the new HV looks sat seamlessly alongside the main KX3 campaign.
